The International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP)
The International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP) is the international body for Jungian analysts. It was founded in 1955, has its office in Zurich, and recognises 81 member societies (Group Members) and about 4,000 analysts (IAAP). Its first president was C. A. Meier, and its first congress met in Zurich in 1958 (IAAP history).
This directory is independent of the IAAP. It does not certify anyone, and no listing here is labelled certified; each listing names its source.
How the IAAP is organised
- Group Members are the national and regional societies that train and certify analysts. Most analysts belong to the IAAP through one of them.
- Individual Members are analysts who trained where no member society exists, usually through the IAAP's Router programme, which requires analysis with an IAAP analyst and supervised casework (Router handbook).
- Developing Groups exist in countries with no member society yet (IAAP).
- Delegates of the member societies meet every three years at the IAAP Congress, and an Executive Committee of nine representatives runs the association between congresses (IAAP).
Member societies in this directory
We take listings from the public rosters of IAAP member societies whose terms allow it. Some societies do not allow their rosters to be republished; their pages say so and point to their own sites.
